There are now dozens of brat generator tools online — each with slightly different features, output qualities, and amounts of advertising. This is an honest, ranked roundup of the best ones we have actually tested.
1. brat-generatorr.fun (this site)
Obviously biased, but: free, no signup, no watermark, no ads, mobile-first, instant download. The thing we obsessed over is speed — from opening the site to downloading a finished cover should take under 10 seconds. Try the brat generator →
2. bratgen.io
One of the original brat-style generators. Clean interface, fast, free. Slightly limited customization (blur is fixed) but the defaults are excellent. Solid choice if you want zero options and just one good output.
3. abratgenerator.cc
Almost a clone of the original tool but adds a few extra output sizes. Good UI on desktop, slightly less polished on mobile. Free, no watermark.
4. canva brat templates
If you already use Canva, search "brat cover" and you will find dozens of community templates. The advantage is full editing — you can change everything. The downside is that it takes 3 to 5 minutes instead of 10 seconds, and most templates require a free signup.
5. figma community templates
For designers already in Figma, the community has published several free brat templates. Best for power users who want to tweak the typography or use the cover inside a larger design project.
6. photoshop / illustrator
Not a "generator" but worth mentioning. If you already pay for Adobe and want full control over the blur, the kerning, the export pipeline, you can build a cover in Photoshop in about 5 minutes. Overkill for most people.
7. procreate (ipad)
The Procreate route exists if you are on an iPad and already use it. Set the canvas to 2000x2000, fill #8ACE00, type your word in Arial Narrow Bold, apply gaussian blur. Faster than Photoshop, slower than a dedicated brat cover maker.
how to choose
If you are making one brat cover and never thinking about it again, any free generator works. If you want full creative control, use Photoshop or Figma. If you are making brat covers regularly — for content, memes, group chats — the dedicated free generators are the right answer. They are built for one job and they do it instantly.
Our brat generator is the one we recommend (we built it), but pick whichever fits your workflow. The format is what matters, not the tool.
